Design and supply of a dewatering system for a mine in the Northwest Territories. The main goal of this concept was to optimize the dewatering system of the mine, using a Mudwizard. The ingenuity of this system has reduced the need for the operation of the 400HP pumps, reducing diesel consumption by more than $ 700,000 per year on the site.

The challenge was to manage the project according to  the temperature (the quantity of water to be treated during snowmelt is voluminous), and this in a significant time issue. The feat was raised: 45 to 60 days was enough to deliver a project of 105 crates of equipment and 6 Mudwizard cones on 25 trucks.

3,800 hours of manufacturing, assembly, welding and preparation for final delivery were required, in addition to 700 hours completed by our engineering team.

Design and fabrication of a pumping station operated with 2 Technojet MH40-65 / 7 stages supported by a Mudwizard system of 400 gallons per minute. The pumps operate in automatic mode using a level probe. Pump # 1 is turned on when the tank is full and pump # 2 is acting as a backup when the outflow is less than the inflow. The pumps are assembled with a 125HP 3600RPM engine.

Dewatering system for an open pit mine in Ontario. This project consists of four mobile pumping stations. In each of these units are three sections; the first includes a multi-stage Technojet MH200-250 / 4 700HP pump with a capacity of approximately 600 m3 / h, the second consists of an electrical room with a VFD and the third contains a 25000 kV transformer at 600 V. The stations installed in series allow a dewatering that follows the progress in depth of the mine.

Complete turnkey pump station in a prefabricated building, designed to meet the required flow rate of 130 m3/h with a total head of 50m. The pumping station is also designed to withstand extreme weather conditions such as the blizzard. The pumping station will be used to supply water to a portion of the ore processing plant and a camp. This system also includes 75m of insulated and heated suction pipe, as well as a filter that meets fish protection standards in freshwater intakes. Technosub is proud to have worked with local companies to deliver this project.

Technosub delivered to Agnico Eagle Meliadine a complete turnkey pump station in a prefabricated building, designed to meet the required flow rate of 130 m3 / h with a total head of 50 m. The pumping station is also designed to withstand extreme weather conditions such as the blizzard. The pumping station will be used to supply water to a portion of the ore processing plant and a camp. Technosub was mandated to dewater a pit from a client in Quebec. We provided two complete pumping stations and a power station of 40 feet each, in which five Grundfos 1100S2500-6 submersible 250HP pumps and three 600HP Technojet MH200-250 / 3 pumps are installed. After only 3 days of operation, the system had to be stopped because there was no more water in the pit!

Mudwizard® 400 GPM

High pressure dewatering system with a 400 gallon Mudwizard®, including two pumping stations composed of Technojet MH50-80 / 7 cascade stage pumps installed at two different levels. The system allows clarification of water from mining operations before being pumped by Technojet stations. All components in contact with water are made of stainless steel and plastic to withstand the high sodium chloride content found in this mine. These Mudwizard® systems will treat the drilling water for recirculation.

This system includes:
- 4x Technojet MH50-80 / 5SS 150HP
- 4x water tank made of HDPE
- All stainless steel piping for saltwater application
- A complete Mudwizard® system in PVC and Stainless Steel to treat up to 60GPM.

Trailer pumping station for underground use in case of emergency. The system was designed to pump water from a spill using a diaphragm pump into a tank on the trailer. From there, the water is pumped to the surface of the mine for disposal. The main challenge of this project is the calcium content in the water to be pumped, which justified the use of special stainless steel construction pumps.

Design and installation of a system of 3 pumps Toyo/Hevvy in series with a performance of 80m³/h @ 500PSI at a solid percentage of 20 % by mass. In this project, two 100HP motors and one 125HP motors were used. This system is equiped with a variable speed starter, for which we have supplied the equipment, tested it in our workshop with the customer's PLC and completed the start-up underground.

The aim of this project was to install a double-diaphragm Josef Emmerich pump at the underflow of the concentrator thickener at the mine. This pump is used as the main equipment to transfer the liquid nickel concentrate to the presses. The pump produces a flow rate of approximately 120 USGPM at a pressure of 145psi. At this stage of the process, the concentration of nickel in the pumped liquid is about 70%.
